Fuse card is crap...any ideas

Hello all,
I was taking a look at the fuses in the glove compartment and found the fuse schematic on the backside of the panel. It is crap there are no words or names of the components to go along with there hyrogliphic symbols.... any ideas wher I can get my hands on a decent fuse legend or schematic .If your trouble shooting a function that is not working the first thing to look for is the fuse for that component or one in that series. Cant do that if your not sure what is what.

Thanx

There are a number of fuse locations, and no one schematic for them all.

Also on the E90 specific control units may control a number of functions and only have 1 fuse for that unit, so its not as easy as with "traditional" cars

Whats the problem? Some one here might have a better solution!

I once used the fuse box (in my E46) to fix a fault aircon unit - it froze, and wouldn't turn off - even after I took the key out of the ignition

FUSES

So am I correct in understanding nobody has an incling what fuse is for what other than trying to make sence of the picture beside it.

I have a reletive a very dumb one who bought the car before I did , and anyway he did a "Jabronie mod"on his instrument cluster to change the back light and gages and possibly even other stuff to the LCD. He really could not stand the red and wanted a more custom look. Long story short he botched the job and now his instrument cluster does not seem to work. milage counter, obc in the middle and speedo are out and tack works fine.
I need all fuses associated with the instrument cluster so i can check them.

BTW I think the instrument cluster is VDO

TIA

I wish aI already checked my manual just shows the location of the fuses. Is there any one who has a different version of the manual with more fuse information?

Thanx

they must have "dumbed down" the manual

they used to tell you which fuse did what, where it was, and amp size

I don't have my manual close....

They dont want the owner doing anything to his/her car. Just drive it and bring it in for service.... Fuck that, I love my car and will continue to mess with it despite their frivolous attempts to stop me.

I agree

The Stealership no longer owns the car ..... and I understand that if someone faaks it up than the damage is on them, but to deprive us of information that is readily available on a KIA is down right

The fuse book is very cryptic. My 12volt accessory stopped working awhile back and I figured it was the fuse. I finally figured out which one it was after awhile, but it was frustrating and I didn't really want to schedule a service appointment for just a fuse.

There are supposedly extra fuses in the compartment, but I still have no clue which ones they are. The card lists every possibility, but the actual fuses you have depends on how your car is optioned out.

So I just went to autozone and got a box of extras for $10.

I blew my accessory fuse today(all 12V outlets). For the life of me i cant figure out which fuse it is based on the code(cryptic)-like diagram in the glove box.....Also the manual states extra fuses and puller are located in there "somewhere" but where. Can anyone help????
Anyone know thew exact fuse location for accessories(12V outlets)and the amp of the fuse???

PS...The manual page #120 does not display a fuse location chart or amperages.....It merely instructs to go into the glovebox and remove the cover exposing the fusebox..THATS IT....Assinine if you ask me.....

Should be Fuse F30 at 20Amps.

Should be near the top righthand side

Hey, today my 12V outlets stopped working, if it weren't because of these posts I would have had a lot of trouble changing the fuse.
Thanks a lot
