Trying to avoid being jealous and wanting your head on a pike for getting such a great ride...admittedly I'm not having a great deal of success.
Congrads on your new Beemer! I'm going to drink now so I can drown my sorrows. peace, Dean |

Looks great
Are you the guy who was posting about one of these cars awhile back thinking about taking it as a partial payment on a debt? Let us know how she is when you get her out on the road. |

Pretty much all the V12 BMWs are...just imaging our typical BMW cars, and then having 2 of every part that can break .

As far as your concerns, I hear they can be a bitch to maintain as they supposedly have 2 inline 6 engines in em. I.E. They have two batteries, two water pumps, two alternators, etc. So its like maintaining two cars. Still I'de say that one looks really well maintained, and just plain sick as hell. |

I heard thats why they stopped making it. They had so many problems with the thing that they just decided its time was over. I almost bought one instead of my e92 and when i was thinking it over everyone i talked to told me how bad they were. When i drove it though, i almost didnt care what everyone said.

Let's get about 50 people together and we can hold a get a ride in the 850 day for $10 a pop that way I get some money for all these issues that I'll have to deal with hehehe
It's actually an Auto, I love manual's but it's not like I had a choice on this one I think I'll still enjoy it though as it's got a tone of power. I wonder which will be faster, my 335 or the 850

Congrats on a nice ride! Don't drive too much though, since it only get 13/19mpg (before new EPA rules)... probably 10mpg, 16mpg under new calculation rules. 4200lbs of solid metal!
With twin turbos... probably less mpg. But its supposed to be a very smooth GT car.

Sweet!!! i own a 850 -91 myself. Love the car, and the handling is great. Just make sure all the bushings in the front and rear ar ok, also see to that the suspension are ok and ju can go REALY fast throug the corners =). Need to say that my car is equipet whit EDC and H&R springs, and the 20" tiers 255 in the front and 285 also helps in the corners =)
Have hade min for 4yr now, no real trouble other then suspension and bushings that needed to be replaced. Also hade the gearbox replaced (my on fault), dont be in N and revup and throw it in to D to many times =P But be careful in 1st gear, thats the weekest link in the auto tranny. Would love some pics from the engine bay!! guess you dont see the turbos that good any way ? Im planing on puting a supercharger on min, ive got an x-tra engine that i plane to rebuild and then put a lysholm supercharger on =) |
