Stupid noob question...
OK... I have SSTT installed and I'm having difficulties getting traction. I have 17" rims (non-sport), would I get better traction swapping out the RFT's for regular tires? Would it make a big difference? What tires would you recommend?

I think it is easier if you do some reading here...
http://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=12 Wheels and Tires Forum but to answer basically, yes it should.. but also depends on the wheels/tires you choose..

Wider rear wheel base with stickier tires will def. help with traction.
If the money isn't an issue, I would say Yokohama Advan Neova AD07, If you want most bang for your buck, then Falken Azenis RT615.

hahaha, keep your foot off the pedal! I have stock 18" RFT's and I can break traction on my rear tires if I wanted to but to answer your question, yes. Wider tires would def. help, and also you can always warm up your current tired before you go WOT, you should have more traction then.
