Body Shop

Just got rear ended tonight. Bumper, & right rear quarter panel damage.

Anyone know of a good body shop in NoVA area? Car only has 3700 miles on it and I just want it done right and perfect

That really sucks! Don't know of any great body shops, but do your homework and get it done right. There's always BMW Fairfax body shop if all else fails but even that is no guarantee and it's a premium charge I'm sure. Wow, 3700 miles, that's rough!

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope no one was hurt.
Try D&V Autobody at Dulles. Ask for Kevin Maharaj (Owner/Manager). They are very good.

Sorry to hear about the accident. I live close to First Choice Body Shop in Arlington, VA on 525 South 31st Street. Though I haven't had work done there, I always see late model BMW M's and Porsche in the lot, so I assess they know what they're doing. First Choice is a USAA certified repair facility and though the building doesn't look to good a first glance, the number of quality cars in their yard indicates they produce quality work.

Sorry to hear of the accident. I second D&V. I've brought multiple cars there and they do great work.

OP, sorry to hear about the damage! I have some self inflicted damage on my front m4 bumper. Let me know how D&V did with your car, i want to take mine to them as well. BTW, what color is your car? Do you know if they use all BMW OEM parts and paint? I have a mineral white car so I am a bit worried on the paint...

Sorry to hear that. You're in great hands though. D&V is the best shop in this area. Post some before and after pics if you can.

About 18K worth of damages so far. All OEM parts. Suntek & Modesta are covered too.

Based on my previous experience with Kevin at D&V, I have no doubt that they'll make it as close to new as possible. You need to get some depreciation money from the insurance company. That really sucks!

File a claim for the diminished value.

In all states except Michigan, if an accident is the fault of another driver, you would receive compensation for diminished value because legally the third party has an obligation to make the victim of the accident "whole" again; in other words, to restore the victim's car to its pre-accident fair market value. This means repairing the vehicle and paying the difference in the car's resale value before and after the accident, the cost of which is usually covered by the at-fault driver's liability insurance policy.
