Middle box delete, X pipe or not?

I am going to delete my middle box next month to get a bit more sound from the exhaust.
I heard people talking about replacing it with a piece of X pipe so the two pipes cross over and gasses mix, or do i just have 2 separate pipes running parallel?

Best to use an x-pipe. Don't expect a huge increase in sound. Mine was barely noticeable.

Ok is there any particular reason it should be an X pipe?
I'm not looking for major noise just a touch more, can you hear it better in the cabin now?
Have you got any videos of it?

X pipe made my exhaust note a little deeper.
You'll only hear a slight difference.

I know there are flow and sound benefits to a x-pipe. Also, the stock E92 335i exhaust uses an x-pipe instead of a resonator so might as well do the same.

Yeah I'm not expecting massive increase in sound in fact I don't want it either, just a bit more noise in the cabin and under heavy load. I'll do a before and after video once it's done.
