On the 26th of March I order a pair of Toyo R888.

265 size, 35 profile, 18 inch to go on some new alloys I've just purchased.
I also ordered some front tyres but a different brand of semi slicks.

The fronts arrived and I was expecting 4 tyres but received just 2. OK.
Then I realise the tracking info is just for the 2 front wheels. There's no tracking info on the Toyos. Days later still nothing. So plans for ordering early to use them on 2nd April f**ked.

I contact Tyre leader and get nothing back.

Then again on 4th April I ask them what's going on. They tell me they'll look into it.

So yesterday I get a notice that the money is refunded and the order cancelled. One reason being the lack of stock.







The thing is the exact tyre I ordered. The top description with the GG info next to it is still there but the price is now £200 a tyre, from te £173 I ordered them at.

WTF are they playing at! Tyreleader seem to just be like a reseller for lots of different vendors but the need to be responsible.

Surely there's some law or act against this kind of BS. Listing something at a price and then not fulfilling their side of the deal.

I've always used these people but now I'd rather not.

I've heard it several time with them.
If you order them at a really cheap price and a couple of days later it goes up. They either cancel your order or charge you the extra amount.

They are a waste of space and not even that cheap once you pay for fitting

Yes they are the vendor I've used the most but they don't carry the Toyo R888 in the size I needed. I like them alot.

They were marked out of stock on the Toyos. Feels like trying to find hens teeth. Hence why TL probably screwed me on the deal.

I've used them all without issues. I ordered some Nankang Semi-slicks recently from tyre leader without any problems.

All companies will cancel an order if they've cocked something up, lets face it, they're not going to fulfil an order that loses them money. Why would they? Theres an ongoing belief that if some store advertises something at price X they must fulfil that price, but its simply not true.

I've seen it with amazon before and had orders cancelled, and my mate had a similar experience recently with mytyres for an order of some EagleF1's which were listed at £26 each. Order was cancelled the next day.

Obviously the weeks of waiting and no response isnt great service and thers no excuse for that.

Wasn't a case of selling at a loss. Other sizes are even cheaper. They were just dicking around.
