335i Resonator Delete

I'm thinking about deleting my resonators and replacing it with an X-pipe on my e90 335i. Anyone have a link to a decent x-pipe/know how much the entire install will cost?

Also, thoughts on resonator delete vs muffler delete? I've been told res. del. is the way to go as muffler delete drones.

If you are doing anything other than xpipe I'd wait to do the xpipe. It's a noticeable difference and you may have wished you waited to do it of you end up doing a pe mod or MD. My 02.

If you do the MD, pe mod or seconardary deleted and it's not enough get the xpipe then.

Cost me like 45 bucks, I supplied the part. Can see the work and video clip on n54gotu ig page but you'll be scrolling.

i was curious about this too. muffler delete is louder than what i would prefer at this point. I was thinking with the x pipe instead of the resonators maybe it will be a little louder, little deeper but not obnoxious when u are doing normal driving. i was searching last week for videos but all the ones i found with x pipe had some other cat back or muffler delete, alot also had downpipes (which i don't have...yet at least). hopefully others cna provide some good insight here.

From what I've heard, con of muffler delete=annoying drone while con of res. delete = rasp

I got quoted $300 from a "reputable" shop in my area for welding an x-pipe in place of resonator...cracked the fuck up and hung up

Installing catless downpipes actually got rid of most of the drone from doing the muffler delete im thinking about a x pipe as well as its still too quiet imo

Yeah I had catless DP's for a little while till I ran into a few issues. DP's by themselves aren't really going to give you an appealing sound though IMO.

I replaced my resonator with an x pipe. You can just get a cheap one from Amazon/eBay. Don't pay $100+ for a magnaflow one. Sounds a bit deeper. I got my performance exhaust mod done at the same time so hard to tell.

I did catless downpipes, left the secondary cats, and did a muffler delete and I honestly really like the sound.. Its a little loud at lower revs but as soon as you get over 3000rpm's, the drone goes away and the car starts to scream

This will work just fine. I think it's one of the less expensive on eBay.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/UNIVERSAL-ST...item487f04714f

I paid less than $80 to have it done I think. I'm happy I did it.

Bought a polished stainless X-pipe from a seller on eBay.
Cost like $35.
Muffler shop installed for $120.
Deeper sound, gurgles when I rev and let off throttle.

No sure if I want the PE mode or not.

Do you need to weld the xpipe or is it bolt on?
