Totally wrecked E92 325i... Ouch!

I paid a visit to a high end scrappers today to buy a new washerjet pump for my other half's E46, when I got to the beema section I was surprised to see this.... It's not very nice & I hope the people inside were ok.

I thought exactly the same, and I'm sure I remember someone on the forum asking if anyone else had heard a hard drive like noise coming from the engine... interesting!! I wonder if that E92 was running on Windows Vista?

I doubt it.

It would have crashed before leaving the driveway, or perhaps it was Vista and the resultant reboot sent it straight through the garage doors!

Certainly looks like the car had a "Hard Drive".. But the item in question is a Xenon Ballast :-)

It wouldn't have crashed because a helpful warning message would have said:

"do you want to allow the car to crash? - yes / no"

Please define "high end scrapper". I understand the "scrapper" part, just not the "high end".

high end - I mean, lots of "decent" cars, ie. not just full of Fiestas & corsas. I'm sure it's full of fiestas as well if there is anyone looking for fiesta parts! There was also a completely wrecked Ferrari and a Z4 that had been squished to about half it's size!
Unfortunately my other half wasn't showing the keen interest I was in looking at beaten up cars so I don't have any photos of those!! I enjoyed my day out though!
It's Car Transplants in Nantwich... Seemed great on price, I needed a new washer jet pump for an e46 cab, about £30 from beema (but non in stock) about £12 from Ebay (but min 3 days post), or £3 for a tested used one from a 2004 car today... that'll do me!!

oo, I just noticed, if you look on the second pic, 2 cars behind the beema is the wrecked ferrari!
I reckon if someone you know can't quite afford a new e92, they could offer the scrappers some cash for it as it is, push it into their garage, and from the back everyone would think they had a nice e92 325... and for a bargain price!! Everyone's a winner (unless you want to drive it?)

Defo looks like something heavy fell on it - whatever it was must have been hot as there seems to be scorch marks on the paint.

The scary thing is that someone will buy it and repair it and call it CAT D.

Has anyone got a guesstimate of what potential money that scrappy could make from the parts of that E92?
