You have to remember people without mods are also experiencing this problem. I think it is similar to the fuel pump issue as far as that is concerned.

At the same time, you could make the argument that it is a fairly new vehicle and we don't know how it will hold up long term, stock or otherwise.

For me, I can't see changing anything at this point.

Many people have their 335i tuned. I am sure some of them made ~ 40k miles already. I personal made the half distance tuned. The wastegate issue might or might not be related to ECU tuning. It can also be an issue with oil, driving behavior when the engine is cold, ...

I don't remove my tune but I don't use a high horsepower / psi tuning.

There really is no reason... These things happen. You should have had your car during the big HPFP problems. People were having their cars towed to the dealership. You won't have to tow your car to the dealership for wastegate problems. That was serious, this will be similar and will get sorted out. Cars in the first and second year of production need to have the kinks worked out. In comparison to most this car is doing pretty well. My 03' 350z had more problems than I can even remember.

~28k miles with my PROcede and no evidence of any impending doom. It stays in my car all the time, even for service visits, without any issues.

I don't have the "R-swich", just the JB2H. I will use the AA Active Processor soon and I am very curious about the results. I keep the JB2H.

I dunno what to do. My JB2 is on the way, but I may hold off on installing it. Im only minimally worried as I dont track the car, street race, etc. I drive pretty normal, but wouldnt mind the extra power every now and then for kicks.

I wouldn't worry about it. Just remove all mods before dealer visits.

sambonator, you arent too concerned with all these issues huh? You have been running JB2 for quite sometime...the same mod that AU335 was running for months. I love the JB2 but am quite worried that the solenoid bypass could be the cause of all this

Procede doesn't bypass the solenoids, thats the only thing good about the tune other that the other gazillion things wrong with it!

i wont be removing my SSTT i got about 15k miles on it and about 20k total on my car. everything is working awesome.

i think the SSTT would and is very warranty safe since it plugs in the TMAP sensor, no wires and no ecu tampering and doesnt throw codes and it works with the Stock boost levels that under extreme conditions the car itself boosts itself to the same point. uit pretty much makes the DME do all the work.
once removed it is pretty much impossible to be traced that there was something there.

SSTT also doesn't bypass the solenoids either!!

yea your right^^

but i still dont think it is related to TUNES. one would think it would very well be directly related esp when speaking of the wastegate but i think one me,ber has already confirmed that he has a 100% stock car and it failed aswell.

i guess were gonna have sit back and watch until we can get a better explanation.

I really want to know if bypassing solenoids have any correlation to wastegate problems, I realized that one member was stock and had this issue and it may be an isolated issue with this OP.....Right now I am bit concerned with cars that are tuned having these issues more frequently now, because there are many people now saying they have this issue and have their cars tuned!!!
