Deposit refundable ??
After putting £500 deposit down on a 335D I may be getting second thoughts, I'm assuming this is refundable ?
(Pre reg stock car) Nothing signed yet as only dealt over phone. Anyone any experience ? Rob

Depends on whether you'd agreed anything verbally on in writing. When I was looking at AUCs I placed a deposit on one but only after I had an email from the dealer confirming that it was refundable. I opted for a different car as the deposit was returned promptly.

As no official dealer order has been signed, you will be entitled to your deposit back without question. Some dealers will play hard and try and retain a deposit, this is very short sighted and will always end in the customer winning their deposit back.

Shouldn't be an issue at all. We placed an order and left £1000 deposit. Paperwork signed for and everything. I think it was a week later and the mrs had 2nd thoughts so we cancelled just to be on the safe side. Although they did give the usual "ooh it's going to be hard, I'm going to have to speak to the manager" speech the deposit was refunded in full. Shouldn't be anything to worry about with yours.

Shouldn't have any issue with getting your money back as said & they can only charge to cover costs even if you signed & ordered in the dealership. Can't see them having any cost against a pre-reg car & 1 phone call.

Seen the M3 deal so considering one of those, however totally agree with some of the sentiments appearing on that thread too. Pulled out of deal to give me a bit more time to consider, really want to make a decision I'll be happy with. Cancelling has also told me something about some underlying thoughts I was having. Other option is to keep my 330, keep paying the £40 pm for warranty as insurance, car has only done 27k miles and fully paid for - then go and buy a boxster or something

Cool. For me the M3 deals on that other thread (as good a discount as it is) are still very expensive. I had a 2k deposit if I put that in based on the deal its still £675 a month all be it for an absolutely BELTING car though! but I was pushing it going over the 400 a month mark again. The guys who are buying them are obviously very well off and a few of them are serial car changers. I thought I was bad.
