Debadging
Gave car a good clean and wax today and think i want to debadge the boot and wings. My question is, the car is just over two year old and was wondering will i be left with a paint shadow where 330d badge has been with it being two year old???

It may well do.
Compound may do the trick.

Its a mini struggle, summer is better as everything is already a little warmer to heat up.

Debadged my space grey E92 last year at 7 years of age. There were ghost marks for a few weeks but when I polished it out a bit more those disappeared. I can only assume it was adhesive that could only be seen in a particular light. It looks awesome debadged. Autoglym SRP was the product that did the trick and it took a lot of elbow grease. Using a clay bar helped massively too. My recommended product for removing the visible adhesive is Autoglym tar remover.

So wash again today, got hair dryer, fishing line, AG tar remover and AG SRP out. This is the result of 15 minutes work. Love it, very clean to look at and easy to do.

No. Not if you clean it right away. It shouldn't. Possible slight difference in the shade but i wouldn't assume it's noticible unless your looking for it.

always wanted debadged cars, when I've had the option to de-badge from the factory, I've always done it. Never had the balls to debadge cars with badges on already - too worried about paint/dirt colour change.

As well as a nice clean look (and easier to clean) I love that people have to check the exhaust to guess what engine is in the car before trying anything stupid at the lights. |
