Boot lid

Hi all
Can you open the boot lid
from inside the car while the engine is running without the keyfob

Does the saloon have the little button down by the driver's right knee (on the pillar) for opening the boot ? It's on the touring ...

don't know about the boot but can do that with the tailgate on F31 as long as its in P

I was also interested in this. From what I could tell US cars come with a boot open button near the OBDII port between the footwell and the door. The UK version doesn't seem to get this.

Someone did order the button and wire it up but can't remember where I saw that post.

Yup. That's the one I mean. It's standard fit on the touring

Answer to your question is no. Key remote only or get out and open I'm afraid.

the 4GC has the button. down by drivers right knee

No but you can unlock the boot using the button below the hazard warning button. It does mean that the person who wants to access the boot has to manually lift it.....the horror of manual labour!
