RHD foot rest

after a mamoth job of sprucing up the cars exterior yesterday.
my stainless steel foot pedals and footrest were delivered this morning,
so decided to fit them.

simple job, but used panel wipe before sticking the footrest cover on,
though the brake pedal cover was quite stiff and more diffcult to fit than the oem one was to remove.
they were ordered from hongkong on the 7th of march and as you have the option, i decided against having the msport logo as the car is a sport.

How much did you pay for the footrest? Did you pay import duty, etc.? I have found them for 399 HK dollars (about £36) at
http://www.motzon.com/index.php?rout...&product_id=72
Is this where you got yours

yeah thats the one,

import duty is a bit of a lottery, i've had items over £100 with none, and others under £30 with....

nothing with the delivery, but sometimes the bill drops later...
i think the duty cut-off is suppose to be below £25?

btw i ordered the pedals separately a while ago...

Are the pedals the slip on ones?

The supplier I was going to order from has now stopped making them, apparently because the RHD footrest is now available. Not sure why that's a reason to stop making the pedals though!

Where did you order them from?

I have some slip on pedal covers which are very good but they are aluminium not stainless so I have just ordered some stainless slip on pedal covers to match the footrest I just ordered. £19 delivered

Import duty is - gifts worth more than £34 or other goods worth more than £15 including P&P costs

just looked at the delivery box for the footrest,
import label on box ticked as a gift, with total value at 36 USD...
so hopefully i'll slip under the radar...

only small downside to the footrest cover is that it doesn't wrap around the corner with plastic.
it's all metal, so it's not perfectly flush to the plastic edge.
still really happy with the look though.

I just find it very annoying that BMW refuse to make one for the RHD market, despite it stating in the UK brochure that it comes with one. I took it up with BMW UK pointing out that their UK brochure clearly states that the M Sport comes with an M Sport footrest and they just told me to sod off, they weren't interested

Then that is even worse, they state in the catalog that M Sport comes with it, they do actually make it but they still don't fit them

Oh don't get me started on this! I ordered the OEM pedal covers back in October all ready for the delivery of my new F30 M Sport thinking to myself how well they'll go with the footrest that I'd seen on the configurator. Bit disappointed to find that they didn't supply it with the car, so I begrudgingly called them up to order one only to be told that they aren't available. Now get the good news it is available but quickly followed by the final kick in the teeth that they want £95 for it
