Sport Auto pronounced up shifts in manual mode

I have been playing with the paddles and have noticed that manual up shifts actual 'thump' home in either comfort, sport or sport +. It does feel that it has been engineered that way so you can feel the changes but I'm not sure I like it. When left to its own devices the auto blurs changes beautifully. Is this normal?

I accidentally revved to 6K when playing with manual mode...there goes the gentle running in

I think so. It also happens with the stick to the left in Sport and Sport+, in my experience.

I find that you get the 'thump' if your on the throttle, but if you no/light throttle applied it shifts smoothly in manual

I like the thump! The most pronounced thump is with the M4 on a wet track as you get a right wriggle each time too!

Yes, I found that if you lift off before each change they are much smoother...I thought I'd bought an auto not a manual
