HELP HELP HELP Vacuum
I was installing my BOV ... when i tried to take the vacuum line off it wouldn't come off so i yanked it out and broke the plastic tip what can i do.... it's dark out here and i have to go to work tomorrow. Can i drive the car without the vacuum line?? what would happen. Need your help. PLS any suggestions??????
EDIT: drove the car over to the service center yesterday.... the car drove fine w/o the vacuum line (drove for about 30mls) drop the car off went to a car rental place and picked up a FIAT Punto for 25 euros per day. This car is like driving a go cart. It's got like 75HP . It's quite a difference coming from a V2 335i anyways got a call from the service center just now and the guy told me the cost will be around 700 euros I am highly piiiiiiiiiiiiiissssssssssseeeeedddd right now. I had to replace the whole manifold just because i broke the nipple off for the vacuum line. For those of you w/ a BOV if your gonna install it yourself take time getting the vacuum line off. It's made out of some cheap as plastic and it will break if you try to yank it out or put too much pressure. It's a high price to pay for a stupid mistake i made. i'll be driving this punto till next thursday Last edited by kpzypher; 03-07-2008 at 07:55 AM.. |

When will you learn you're wrong.
Wait, the T piece? just replace it. If you broke it off on the manifold then, holy crap are you screwed.

You have a cool little button that says SOS on it, it entitles you to be towed to the nearest BMW dealership for free for any reason.

You can crazy glue it back on with no problems at all.You can replace the part at a big bucks price or glue it and foreget it. As long as its put back on correctly with no leaking you can run the car crazy glued permanently. My friend broke his stock plastic nipple on his dv on his 03 Evo and crazy glued it on,and has been using it like that for the last 2 years with no problem.

looks like you can't replace the part w/o replacing the whole housing. It seems like it's one solid piece. ahhhh~ i have a feeling it's gonna cost me arm and a leg. I'm gonna have to take it to the center w/ all the mods in it. Damn i hope they don't care too much about it. what a f**kin day~~~
