At least some parts of the car has arrived...

The first (of many) shipment of parts arrived yesterday. Now I just need a car to fit them too... As a lot of you guys my car is ready and just waiting to be picked up so I'm counting down the days to April 16 like the rest of you. As the front grilles are 2 parts you can all probably just buy the M235i M Performance grilles and re-use your stock M2 centers to save some money as BMW raised the prices by 2x for the M2 M Performance grilles.

At least having parts regularly arriving may ease the pain of waiting for April 16th slightly.

I wish i new about the grilles earlier, have already ordered a set of the M2 ones.

Are these grills just the same as those from the M235i ? And what about the CF mirror caps. Are they the same too ?

I have an email ready to order the parts, but I currently doubt on getting them and investing a penny in that car. #mixedthoughts

The parts look really good

The outer part is the same as on the M235i but the inner part is double slats on the M2 with a M2 logo. So what you can do is to order the regular 2-series M Performance grille as it is a lot cheaper and then take apart that and insert the inner part (with the slats) of the grille already on your car. This is what alla the M3/M4 guys did in the beginning as the real M Performance part wasn't available from day one for them.

The mirror caps are the same as on the F22/23/30/31/32 etc.

Thank you! I already ordered the same Performance parts + the diffusor from my dealer. But as you said the Performance parts are certainly 10% more expensive compared to one month ago. I'll try to order the caps from the M235i elsewhere.
Congrats with your first shipment and hope your M2 now comes quickly.
Mine is now planned for March28, arrival at the dealer, but again don't trust it.

I have the rear spoiler too but too lazy to unpack as it is the same as before. I'm waiting for BMW to send the diffuser and suspension. Should arrive in about two weeks.

BMW raised the price of the rear spoiler by 20% last week.

Wow, that was quick. 1 full month before the car is even officially released to the public. Consider me impressed!

No, just use a fake number like 1111111.
I asked them and they told me to and worked on my orders.

How hard is that to do? Do they just come apart or do you have to break the plastic?
