Top speakers for audio Quality
Recommend me some the stuff you guys are using? Am looking for 4" component/coaxial for the E90. Hertz had a great set but the mounting depth is 65 mm. Any current line of morel or focals you guys recommend?

In order of quality
Morels for doors
Needs aftermarket adapter for the Morels. Jehnert for floors There are quite a few three way drop in kits now. They are made to fit and come with the proper adapters or hole spacings which include drop in floor speakers and doors with tweeters and a crossover. Gladen and Jehnert being among the better known ones. Also Rainbow,Helix, Mbquart , Rockford Fosgate and Focal. Be sure to check the power ratings on each. don't do coaxials for the fronts. If you have the base system you can by the BMW tweeter pods fairly cheaply. You need better than factory amplification for most any of these. If you have the L7 you can make some of the less power hungry speakers I here . Last edited by ctuna; 03-12-2016 at 02:00 AM.. |

Way too broad of a questions a ton of variables. What will be your source ? What amplification ? Processor (if applicable) ? Are you willing to do extra work or modifications ? Type of music ? Past product experience ? It can go on ..

Better read the audio build sticky first.

(There is a speaker list in there though it may not be totally current.) Identify your system and establish your goals as 6 speed said. |

I have the logic 7/ harmankardon setup. I am currwntly using the techinic harness for a dded sub in the trunk. Just now it seems the speaker quailtiy such as mids could really use a update. Most of the speakers in the build sticky are old and updated , so it wasnt much help.
Why shouldnt I use coxial speakers ? |

Since you have logic 7 it's not as simple as the other 2 systems to install an aftermarket amp. Logic 7 uses a fiber optic connection between the headunit and stock amp. I got rid of the entire audio system and replaced the headunit with a double din nav(alpine s920hd). For speakers I got morel hybrid ovation II and Jehnert xe200s.
To keep the stock headunit you can recode to hifi, piggyback off the stock amp, or get a da2. I recoded my headunit to hifi and used it like that for a while but was never satisfied(possibly caused by the aux input). After replacing the headunit it sounds crystal clear through bluetooth or usb. |
