Kerbed my new 442M Orbit Grey (updated with pics)

Thanks for all the previous responses I got guys. Here are pics of the damage suffered. Let me know what you think? Can a mobile guy do it or is it back to BMW?

I wouldn't bother. With the state of the roads at the minute, you'll pick up a few more before long.

I expected it to be a LOT worse. This is pretty superfluous damage, if it was me I'd just touch it up with a tiny bit of paint and you'd be able to hide it. The diamond cut wheels can only be refurbed a limited no. of times (1-2) so I'd save one of those lives for something worse.

Not as bad as I thought to be honest but if it catches your eye a lot it can be very annoying.

That really is not worth getting repaired yet! They will get dinked again so as annoying as it is I would leave it and just touch up yourself.

Agree with the above comments, a bit of wet n dry and clear coat. Certainly wouldn't want a third party messing with my wheels for such a minor mark.

Have a close inspection around the centre caps, common problem is rust coming through from the hubs onto the alloys. Mine have started to get small marks on the alloys around the centre caps due to this as I've not been able to get to the dealer to get the hubs greased or painted. Really annoying as otherwise the wheels are as new. Keep an eye out for orange stains around the centre caps, if there is and your alloy gets marked you may end up getting the alloy replaced under warranty (well I'm hoping some of mine do anyway).

I would agree with most, just tidy/touch it up, no point having it refurbished for very minor damage like that.

Just close your eyes on that bit when cleaning them though....

That really does not look like kerbing to me...
I have the same marks and its possibly through driving over a pothole or even stones being thrown up as you drive
May need to buy SWMBO some flowers, say sorry and put it down to natures law?

I have noticed this issue today on my car. Only three weeks old. Will need to keep an eye on this.

I'm in agreement with everyone else on here, that is Minor damage, than can be given a small cosmetic fix by you, regretably worse damage may occur over time.
