Silver iDrive Menu?

I just picked my BMW up from the Collision Center and I noticed that the iDrive menu instead of being brownish-tan it was silver.

Just wondering. Thanks

If you didn't find this out for yourself already by doing a search, the 'brown-ish' menu is an OLDER Progman version. The silver is NEWER, my guess would be while your car was at the collision center they gave you an update for some reason.

but i just got my car in feb of 08 and my bg is brown...does that mean i need to update?

Mine was an Aug 07 build and I think the "Brown" that people are referring to are the screens deeper in the iDrive (like NAV, radio, etc.). I too have the Brown screen at initial startup but the menus in the radio, Nav, etc. are greyish. If I am wrong, please correct me (though I should know later today, as they are updating my Progman this afternnon :-)
