delay... complain ..?

Hi guys,

My order has went as follows.

Wk11, Wk14, now Wk 16 delivery.

I am pretty pissed off.
Do you think I will get anything if I complain? Service Pack or something?

Sounds like ours are on the same schedule apparently due 17/03/16 so week 11 but this is what the lease company told me.

I've spoken directly to the supplying dealer and they said it was never going to be before week 14 so the lease co just picked a date out of the air.

Now delayed until wk 15. Dealer said the order was placed 07/01/16.

I ordered mine 4th August, it arrived at the dealer 23rd December. I guess i was unlucky, but not all cars get delayed over and over again like mine did. I was initally given an 8 week lead time.
It doesn't matter how much you jump up and down, it won't come any quicker. You could try your luck getting a free gift. As said, ask politely.

Sucks.

I ordered min 24/01/16 and its week 16 now.

The main reason for placing the order with that dealer was they told me they had a wk 11 deliver build slot secured for me. The day after order they said it was wk 14 but would come forward with the "PULL FORWARD REQUEST" which I now think is a load of shite.

Then it was scheduled for build status 1200 for a week then changed back to 1100 just order. wk16

BMW UK will say it is between 12-16 weeks, and you are within that time.

But, think about trying BMW UK customer services. They have ability to speak directly to ordering team, and factory and you can ask questions as to why it has slipped. You may have more leverage as the customer than the dealer has. Maybe tell dealer this is what you intend to do.

Ordered mine Aug 2nd and took delivery Nov 22nd. This was back in 2014 when the brake shortage was the reason. I got a 5 year service plan thrown in for the delay. Call BMW UK, get a case number and they will monitor the order though I don't think your delay is big enough yet. You won't get an offer of anything until you except the ordered car.

There is, but it is exactly as it's worded, 'PULL FORWARD REQUEST'. i.e. We would like the car bumped up the schedule if possible. It's not always possible so has no effect.

If there is any complaining its against the dealer, BMW are pretty much in times.

I would be talking to the dealer saying how they 'let you down'.

If the main reason for choosing that particular dealer was 11 week slot, then you do have a right to moan at dealership.

Must be worth at least a key fob case

Not a 3 series but still a 6 cylinder, my M135i was ordered week 6 and is not due till week 19 with a week 15 build. I am sure that if BMW could bring the build time forward they would as I have a BMW loan car (530d GT) to use FOC whilst mine is being built.
