How do vocally program the bluetooth?

Hey guys,

How do you vocally program the bluetooth? I have an 07 M roadster. My phonebook is programmed into the car no problem. I can cycle through my contacts and call them. However, I want to be able to say "Call ----" and have it do that. Is that possible? If so, what commands do you need to program the bluetooth. Thanks in advance!

When you push the button to engage the phone, do you hear a beep? If so, you just start talking as in "record note", "call number", "call name", "record name" etc. I had the BMW bluetoooth installed after, and did get the voice feature, they could be totally separate features though I'd be surprised with the 07M if they were.

Assuming the system in your car is the same as on the E90 I own you can't use voice commands directly with your phone via BT. You have to use the BMW Voice Command system to set up your VOICE contacts. This basically involves telling the voice command system the name and number of each contact using your voice. Once the contacts are setup the call will take place using the BT phone paired with the system. Hope that helps. It is covered in the Communications booklet you should have received with your car.

This is the case with the 07 Zeds. You have to go through the BMW Voice system. Only way to get the contacts from your phone is if you scroll through your phonebook on the radio

:: push button ::
*beep*
"save name"
*please say the name*
"name"
*please repeat name*
"name"
*please say the number*
"123 456 789"
*one two three four five six...*
"save"
*contact saved*

:: rinse and repeat ::

then... :: push button ::
*beep*
"dial name"
*please say name*
"name"
*do you want to call name?*
"yes"
*dialing number*

Great info again. Thanks.

I just did this and it was really easy. Make sure you hold he voice command button down until it beeps when loading your contacts or if your phone is enabled it will call out your last call.
