Fastest car you've ever been in?

Just wondered what's the fastest car you've ever driven or been passenger in?

Last year I had a passenger ride in a 800bhp heavily modded and supercharged C63 AMG owned by the owner of MSL Performance in Birmingham. NOTHING could have prepared me for how shocking and dramatic that acceleration felt, the noise, it left me buzzing for a while afterwards. For context despite being massively traction limited this car did a <10 sec quarter mile at Santa Pod! Based on that I simply can't imagine what it would be like to drive something like an Agera etc which is more powerful and a lot lighter...

This may be controversial.....

Is it the Merc SLS I drove, no it's the first car I had. It was a little rover metro and as it was my first car, I have fond memories of it.

I've had a raft of good cars since, but I always have good memories of my first car. It felt the fastest thing to me....at the time!

Standing by for a slagging!

Nothing particularly exotic for me, probs the M5s and M6s I've driven.

Vipers standard ish one and passenger in a Hennessy one.

Many moons ago (1989) we had trips up and down Rimini Runway in Italy in a Ferrarri (fuck knows what one) by one of the Ferrarri drivers.

Plenty of stupid stuff while in Germany as well.

Probably formula Palmer Audi around Bedford autodrome a number of years back. Incredibly quick.

Fastest car you've ever been in, or fastest you've even been in a car ?

Same either way for me : Ultima, around 170, while a mate went past in a Ferrari 360 Spider with roof down (complete with receipts and CDs vortexing out of the car - very funny to watch).

Ferrari 550. Went to the Ferrari owners club day at Silverstone. Broker the world record for having 1000+ ferraris on the track at once.

The way back home was good fun there was a fair few convoying and racing each other at every oportunity.

Drove a Ferrari F430 at Silverstone. Instructor in passenger seat had dual controls and did some additional braking which was a bit irritating at the time but in hindsight I would probably have stuffed it into the tyre wall if he hadn't stepped in!

Ariel Atom - seeing the tarmac through the chassis at the side of the car makes it feel even faster than it actually is!

One of those 2 seater (the ones where your legs are down the side of the drivers body) Formula Audi/Jag racing cars at Bedford autodrome with a mad Swedish pro driver at the wheel, some of the passengers on the day had to be lifted out and were sick next to the car.

When he braked it was like hitting a brick wall, going round a corner was utterly ridiculous, if I'd been able to understand what was going on I'd have been pretty scared...

Road cars are slow in comparison to what a pro can do in a race car.

Yeah would love to experience a Turbo S. Car journos are always saying almost nothing else compares in terms of the brutal thump you get which makes it feel a lot quicker than cars with the same area power output e.g. R8 V10 etc

The only thing I love about holiday hire cars is coming home and thinking my car is all of a sudden genuine supercar bonkers fast in comparison. It's a great way of resetting your perception of acceleration etc

The Jaguar JP-LMs are awesome; for me the pinnacle of the times I've been to Palmer Sport, and personally more enjoyable than the Audi single seaters.

Recently drove a chipped M5 - >650bhp I think. Also passengered in a Gallardo 0-60 type stuff - short ride.
Fastest experience was passenger at Silvestone with a pro driving a Radical - SR3 I think - as comment above braking was totally ridiculous, also just how close to each other the cars were driven - intense!!! Cornering hurt my sides!

Nice. Would love a crack at a Radical.
