PROcede V2-12.27 1/4 at 113!!!
Today, Scalbert and I did some runs in South Georgia area at the Silver Dollar Raceway. It was hot out--about 73 or 75 when i hit my best run. The track had very poor traction, even with drag radials.
My best run was a 12.274 at 113.01, with a 1.791 60', running Procede V2 at 93% torque settings. I'll scan and post the slip at dragtimes.com tomorrow. I had a mix of 93 and 101 with just less than a 1/2 tank of gas. I screwed up gaswise because I was very close to empty as we approached the track and I filled up with too much 93 octane gas not knowing how close we were located to the track. Oh well. I have UR catted DPs and a BMC filter. Trans is step/auto and I let the computer shift. I used 2 Kosei 17" wheels with Nitto drag radials in the back. On the front, I had the stock 18" wheels with the stock run flat tires. Stock exhaust. Now, I know I can beat the 12.274 with my current set up. The traction really was poor at the track. And, it was hot--if it had just stayed around 60-65 degrees, my car would have been quicker. In fact, I was getting a bit squirrelly in 3rd gear on this run!! Many cars at the track were getting very poor times that one would expect to see running much quicker times. The key, of course, was the launch and when I finally hooked up somewhat decently, I knew I was going to get a decent time. I was pleasantly surprised to break into the 12.2ish range. When I get an intake and 2 more Koseis, I expect to see improved times. Also, bear in mind that my user torque settings were at 93% only. And, this was the standard map--no race gas map or down pipe map. Thus, i would expect probable quicker times once Vishnu releases its updated maps, or I adjust the UT settings (after I get Rixter's boost gauge set up). Thus, there is still room for improvement and more to come. But, for now, I am very, very happy with a 12.274 daily driver running 93% with V2!! Last edited by DrewKo; 03-02-2008 at 10:08 PM.. |

Awesome times and traps buddy. Putting on my RR downpipes this coming weekend. Need to get back up there and see how it stacks up against your car.

He did well, but wasn't really trying to set special times. He was running a beta map and set up for Vishnu and was datalogging. He might chime in. Tx bro! It was immensely satisfying to break 12.5, which was my goal for the day. That I got into the 12.2s was just incredible. I was thrilled. The sensation of running that fast was unreal. Step...computer did all the shifting. |

Nice job Drew.
Very fast times with catted DP's and V2 on low settings for the gas mix you had. 10 degree cooler temps, 2-3 less gallons of gas and a bit more traction you'd probably be in the high 12.1's That's amazing for CATTED DP's and drop in filter only. What's better is you could probably get those times on just 93 Octane with your settings up to 94.5% Your 95+ Octane mix at 93% settings probably didn't give you anymore power than pump 93 Octane with settings of 94.5% Great job again for your conditions, settings and full options on your car. BTW, did you do any runs on street tires? If so, what did you get? |
