Gasket leak?

Looks like there is a small leak from the transmission. the part in the pic attached is coated in some type of oil so seems like it's a small leak from the gasket. Anyone confirm the part is in fact part of the transmission? anyone had this issue? will be taking to the dealer this week. Will report back once fixed.

I'm looking at this on on my 5S iPhone and don't see the leak. I can't tell if the finned trans pan is wet from the pics.
If you use a finger to swipe a sample does it smell like trans fluid ( different then engine oil )?

An oil leak from a bad rear main seal it lose oil drain plug, when driving at highway speed might drift it's oil down the underside.

Curious what dealer says, have you measured your engine oil level ?

Sorry for the delay in the response to this thread. Just found out that the reason for the leak is due to some piping that feeds in to the transmission. Dealer said it is not a common issue and that it may take some time to source the parts. They advised not to drive the car. if the pipes were to get loose and come out completely , all transmission fluid would leak out. Glad it didn't happen in the 2 months it took me to take it in. For others that have a similar situation, I'd take it to the dealer ASAP.

Is the car modded? I pretty much floor it at least once each time I drive mine. Cuz it's fun.

It's slightly modded. Just a stage 1 (RC Ultimate) and AWE exhaust.

Dealer didn't give you any problems because of the mods? How long are they talking? Have never heard "don't drive it, may take a while"...

The stage 1 was removed when taken in. No issues with the exhaust. They said it was going to take a while as they didn't have the parts. Got a call late yesterday saying they were able to get the parts, so got the car back the same day I gave it in.
