Dinan Flash cracked-out on 100 octane

All I can say is wow! I had the opportunity to fill a half tank of Sunoco 100 octane 260GT. I did not expect much of a difference but I was quite surprised at the results. It took about 10 WOT runs before the ECU adapted. The car absolutely roars! Too much power without a LSD. At $7 bucks a gallon it may be worth it

Where did you get it for $7 a gallon? I'm paying $7.70 here, ( I put in a full tank )

You'll also notice your gas mileage turns to complete shit withh 100 octane. My tank average with fwy and city is like 12mpg.

Well, it may have been closer to $6.99/gallon in Florida.

I've got to burn off this half tank prior to the weekend! Although it feels like this stuff just evaporates from the tank. I can see the fuel gauge drop!

Especially when you consider it's less than $1.50 difference between regular 91 Supreme and the 100 Octane stuff..

Yes, you can visit dinancars.com and you'll find information there.

Also, if you do a search on this forum there are several members who have had taken their car to the dyno.

Let me know if you have trouble.

All I see are dyno figures.. I'm looking more for real-world measurements (0-60 times, 1/4 mile, known track times/improvements, etc).

I'm sure you will know in the spring, when my local strip opens back up. This flash came out in the winter for a lot of folks, no tracks/strips available. There is someone on this forum or bimmerfest that has MANY Dinan mods, including the flash, and he tracked his car pretty extensively. I'll try to search for his thread.
