Nice find. Any idea if this is for European cars though? The 5 quart bottle specifically mentions BMW, I don't see that here.

Have you guys had good experience with this oil? I tried M1 a few times but never could get it to work for me. The oil always sheared within 1.5 to 2k miles and my oil temps would rocket.

that's crazy, my car doesn't like it either but temps stay in range .. it's more like noise related I start hearing all kinds of ticks that remain subdued with castrol

This is the oil I use. It's available at Walmart for $29 in the big containers. EDIT: They're the 5 quart containers.

I ran it in my E93 M3, my E89 Z4 35i, and now my E90 335i without any issues. Normally it comes up to temp pretty fast but stays within the normal temp range. Even in the crazy Florida heat/humidity.

Although I run this oil in other cars, I would skip it for the N54...if you're looking for something OTS, Rotella T6 all day.

Autozone has castrol euro 0w40 5qt for 21. From what I've read they aren't vastly different. Unless there's something I don't know. In which case, I'd love to know it.

Local Walmart has it for $26, but yeah I'm not running it anymore either.. As FCobra94 stated, Rotella seems to be the good stuff for our motors as I've read that on numerous threads/sites..

Rotella T6 is good stuff but I have tested dozens of samples in various cars and in my Turbo Rx-8 (hard on oil) the Mobil1 0W-40 does better at holding up but not significantly better if you change your oil often. 6 quarts for $27.00 shipped was a pretty good deal. I picked up a couple of Mann filters as add ons for $8.00 each.

Damn it, you all drained the supply and it's back to $50. I'm not due for a change but would have been nice to score at that price...

How long have you been running T6? Have you done any analysis from blackstone labs? I have been using it on my 02 Audi S4 for about 5 years now and no issues just wanted to get your input.

That's the Walmart price - nothing I'm ordering ahead for. 6qts I would have.

For the money, the top 3 best oils are rotella t6 5w40, castrol 0w40, and mobile 1 0w40.

If you are going to be pushing things hard, might want to look at higher zddp content oils, but those cost more.
