Maunal shifting points on 335xi with SSTT help
While this is a question posted for shifting times (RPM's) with a Turbo Tune installed, it actaully may still be the same points for a 6MT without one.
I currently have a 6mt 335XI with a SSTT installed. I am trying to determine the best points to shift in order to obtain the best 0-80 times. I have added a guideline bellow. Who knows, it may be an interesting discussion on where/when to shift to post the fastest times. Thanks! 1st Gear: 2nd Gear: 3rd Gear: 4th Gear: 5th Gear: 6th Gear: (in my opinion you wont hit it at 80) |

How do you like the SSTT with the XI? I just got my XI the other day and will be putting the TT on.
As far as shifts points MAX IT OUT i would shift at 6500 rpm. But I have a Auto so.

I just put in yesterday, and to be honest at first I couldn't feel any difference, but beleive there is some now on the top end. I def thought I would feel it more on the 0-30 time but think it's better suited for the higher speeds. I can feel it in 3rd gear but nothing much before IMOP. Still too early to say much more. I did install the K&N Air filter today so possibly that will make a slight improvement as well. I will post more once I have a chance to drive it around a bit more....
I might be shifting early then about 5200 RPM..... |

most people get there best times shifting with DS which goes to redline or a bit shy of it. just to get a idea. it feel the best by redlining 1st, 6k shifting 2nd, 6k shift 3rd, the rest redline.
btw give it some time ti adapt u will def feel the increase in power. dont expect a M3 type powerband, it will still be smooth. |

I don't know if XI will make a difference, but I shift at 6500 since the rest to redline is just lost hp.
