The closer I get to 60....

...the more it sucks to shovel snow. Oh, my back.

I hear ya, I'm 55 this year. Spent this morning putting down mouldings around my new floor, walked the dog and then shoved snow. Damn I hurt everywhere.

I am 68 and spent all morning drinking coffee and watching golf on TV. Watching those guys trudge around Pebble Beach really makes me tired.

As I get older, I find myself listening to 70's/80's music more and more... I still have a long way to 60, though.

College girls smile at me all the time. I know exactly what they're thinking.

A snowblower would be a waste of money. This is the first time this year I've had to shovel. And yes, I usually shovel several times during a storm to keep the shoveling light. Today we got 4" officially, but it was deeper in my driveway due to drifting. Still, it wasn't bad. But somehow I strained my back even though I didn't notice it at the time. Just getting old, sadly.

Move to Florida. We have it all. Sun, barely dressed women, no income tax, sales tax is deductible on your federal return, guns, lots of weird crime. It's like living in a rated R circus with guns.

Three words that work wonders.
Epsom salt soak.
Two or three 20 minute soaks a week have done wonders for myself. The magnesium is also a big positive in general for us aging dogs. I also take a magnesium supplement.

Try it. It's only a couple of bucks for a four pound bag.

I've found Kentucky bourbon to help also.

Just be sure to get a home with hurricane glass or shutters built in, or make arrangements with someone to put up the regular shutters for you in the event of a storm. Fortunately, I haven't needed to carry those guardrail-like shutters around in about 10 years, but they are every bit as bad to carry around and put up / take down in 90 degree heat as shoveling snow in the cold.

And no global warming there. That's a plus.

Aberlour 12 worked wonders last night. Can't get away with that this morning, though.

I don't care. It makes me feel better and I'm sipping bourbon while soaking my beat to hell when younger body. Bulls, motorcycles/ going down with them, lifting, fighting and basically being wild took its toll lol.

I just pay someone to do it. Then I sit around playing video games if not watching movies...or posting in forums.
