Where to buy new starter??

I see eBay has everything from $60 1 yr warranty to $400 OEM Bmw starters.
I read somewhere auto zone has a $250ish life time warranty.
Talked to a shop that rebuilds them, but he stated he could not find a rebuild kit for it.

any help is appreciated.

Just go to your local parts supplier and pick a quality brand, ie bosch, valeo etc. I am guesses the oe starter would be a bosch anyways. If there is any issues at least you are dealing with someone close.

I'm gonna hit the local parts store they have one for 150 has a lifetime warranty and even if it goes out every six months to year I get a free one and I'll just do walnut blasting at the same time.
pretty easy to get to the starter now that I've done it once.
My wife and I just bought a x6 that's going to be our road trip car so even if my new starter goes out I'll be pretty local with AAA the only inconvenience is time.
