Jeez dude!!
tyre pressure affects the handling fuel economy and tyre life. On my daily driver I do it everytime I fill up (2-4 weeks) and the bmw since it rarely gets driven (once every few months) everytime before i drive her. |

I used to be slack until I got an air compressor with a tyre inflator with digital readout. So much easier than doing it during a refuel where I'll most likely be on my way somewhere in a rush.

Once a month here, I noticed that the car's tyre pressure sensors only tell you when there's a sudden loss of tyre pressure.
But if there's a gradual loss of pressure over a period of many months, the tyre pressure sensor doesn't notify me. There were so many instances were my tyre pressure dropped from 38psi to 35psi over a period of 3 months or something and I was never notified and I always re-calibrate the tyre pressure through iDrive every time I pump my tyres. There was another time where I had a flat tyre and the tyre pressure sensor notified me straight away and the tyre was on 29psi at the time and had a nail in it

You'll notice that if our cars get pushed too hard around a corner they have a tendency for slight understeer

Every 6 or 7 weeks, or less than 2 month intervals. I normally need to add around 1PSI by that time.
I keep my digital pressure gauge in the car to know how much pressure has been lost. |

yeah checking them once a month is ideal, unless you have a TPMS that shows you the pressures in the tyres..
do not let the iDrive tell you, it will only tell you if there is a sudden loss of pressure

Only on race night.
1-2psi difference in rear tyres makes a world of difference on hard launches. Around 37-38psi in rear when tyres are HOT, seems to be perfect on the street. |

I run 40 psi all around on my 19's. A little rough on the street but I rather get a bit more wear life out of them.
Check them once every month or two. They tend to hold air very well. |
