18d High Executive, X-line, Alpinweiss and Questions

I wanted to introduce my car properly and i have some question. I have my X1 exactly one month in and it really is a great car .

My X1 18d is a high executive X-line , Alpin Weiss
19 "wheels style 573 (accessory)
tinted windows
M sports steering wheel
Sports seats
and more options ....

My questions are:
- DVD, i have the Navi Professional but i can't watch dvd's?
- I changed the foglights for leds unfortantely they give a problem on BC, the add said "canbus-proof" Can BMW remove this check?

Last night someone coded some stuff in the car like:
- Shutting down radio when opening the door
- Auto start/stop on off
- With DRL, also taillights on
- Fog lights are on when opening the car (greeting lights)
- M Performance logo in display when starting

This is how he looked on arrival:

These were ready for installation:

The car went to PM Performance for this :

With this result:

And this is how the inside looks like:

Sweet ride.

There is no DVD-player in the X1, not even if you have the Navi Plus
You can play video from USB.

Great looking car and wheels are amazing.
I have a question.....
Would it have been more cost effective to initially go for higher spec rather than go to PM Performance for the exhaust upgrade especially as a new rear valance was needed.?

Hi Bluezed, no unfortanely not, price difference between 18d and 20d is almost € 5000,- and besides that the leaseprice is much higher and we have a pervert taxing-rate here. U probably don't want to know......

The new skirt and new exhausts with bigger pipes costs € 600,-

That upgrade with those wheels and big exhausts looks amazingly good. Really stands out from the crowd.

That is a really nice rear and wheels!
How do you like comfort on those wheels, do you have electro magnetic dumpers?

Thanks for the compliments, I really like this forum because of all of the nationality's who like the X1 and it is a Wifey's car in the USA but in Europe it is mainly men who drive it

I drive this car for one month now and drove 3000km's and I only saw one other X1 on the highway and there isn't any Dutch forum yet where people talk an discuss about their X1 so I am glad I found this forum

The comfort is still pretty good I am on nonRFL tires at the moment with winter tyres. I don't think I have electronic dempers? (Standard) I test drove one who was adjustable but I really did not like the sport mode (and that was with 18") my sport mode is perfect now.
