F Pace 2016
Have been keeping an eye on the devlopment of Jaguars SUV.
Will definitely check it out when the get some demonstrators in. http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-review/...30-v6-s-review Hopefully it takes some share away from the German manufacturers. |

Jaguar will not be releasing either an XF Sportbrake nor an estate XE.
So this looks like the option for anyone after some room in the back. I would be going for the AWD petrol. |

Hence decision not to continue it with the updated XF. So it's not really shooting themselves in the foot. Yeah the XE would be good with an estate / Tourer version, however that's a bitch of an area to compete in. If it has the space in the back, then an SUV awd petrol would be fine. |

Must say I agree. Also, the AWD Petrol is over 50k. Seeing as BMW only do fast 3 series X-Drive in diesel, looks like the new A4 is the only option

There are some really good (bold) colours in the R-Sport and S versions of the F-Pace. It looks amazing in person with a lot of presence. Interior isn't too bad either. Infotainment system not the best though.
Been told there have been a large amount of orders already so I reckon it's going to do well. |

Have been instructed by my wife to check one out when available.
The best my problem is when looking on Jaguars site at FPace, it's so easy to check out the FType lol. FPace I would definitely go for the awd version and petrol, narrows it down a bit lol. |

I vaguely looked at it before ordering the 340i. Higher driving position, not too big, better than X3 (which is now getting dated), AWD petrol etc.
But specced one up to similar spec level to 340i and not much change from £60k for the 3.0l petrol version, and I suspect little or no discounting will be available for a while, if at all. Is it £25k or so better than a 340i...no |

When did you order, wondering how long the wait is?
And yes they are very pricey but bet you could drive one a year and get a lot of your money back. |

A friend of the family is sales manager for a big retailer in the north west, he can't give definitive figures yet, especially on discounts mind you he's trying to push an XE on me....

What's wrong with me? I just don't see the appeal in this car whatsoever...
XK120/140/150, E-type, D-type, C-type, SS100 all utterly lovely (and far better than the BMW back catalogue, up there with the very best) but no modern Jag floats my boat at all.

Looks great - it's just a discovery sport underneath it all though. Never near the quality of the German manufacturers for fit / finish and is very expensive if you want something with 6 cyl's.
X5 is much nicer

Cant agree more, the old stuff is lovely but with the exception of the F Type all Jags other current product just comes across as 'fuddy duddy' to me

I don't even get the F-type, overweight, poor performance from the V6 + silly contrived exhaust etc...

At least it does its numbers unlike any modern Jag, even their PR dept Autocar has to admit on every figured test of a new jag that it weighs a lot more than stated and is slower than stated.
