after market emblem replacement - JBspeed

Feedback: set of JBspeed F22 CF emblems.

Set; 4 wheel centers, 1 trunk, 1 hood emblems + steering wheel overlay.

Pros
1) Fast shipment, nicely packaged
2) Quality of emblems is very good

Cons
1) Wheel emblems do not have the chrome outer ring, but rather a medium gray color plastic. With the M235's darker wheels (Ferric Gray) they tend to standout due to the color contrast...not bad but different
2) Rear emblem has locator pins, but when oem unit is removed the new pins do not fit snuggly, requiring double sided tape to hold it in place. Recommend getting new plastic grommets that fit the new pins (if available) or better yet having these included in the set.
3) Front emblem does not have pins matching the "locating nubs" on the hood, so it is more difficult to perfectly align/position emblem accurately. Supplied double sided tape works fine.

Comments on oem emblem removal:

The emblems were very easy to remove using a set of plastic trim tools (eBay $8). Using the "forked end" of the tool to gently lift the upper or lower edges of the front or rear emblem allowed it to release the front (tape) or release the pins on rear emblem. Going slowly and working the tools around the edges will release them without any issues...used painters tape on painted surfaces around the emblem to ensure painted remained unscathed.

Wheel emblems are simple remove and replace...note they fit much more securely (tighter) than the oem so doubt you'll be loosing them like factory caps.

Steering wheel appliqué is easy and straight forward.

Great review! Can you please post detail pics of all the emblems? (Especially the wheel centers.) I am interested in the cf look. Right now I have cf stickers over the OEM emblems which is ok, but not the best.
