Carbon fibre interior trim arrived
After days of waiting my interior trim wrapped in carbon fibre has arrived all the way from Bulgaria courtesy of Andrey who runs a company called Carbonized and can be contacted via carbonized_bg@abv.bg.
Really decent chap who can communicate well in English and replies fairly rapidly The parts arrived well wrapped and protected from the perils of travel and from ordering took about 2 weeks or so to manufacture and ship even with the holidays Given them a good wax down and can confirm they're all free from blemishes etc etc. Not sure if the pics will do them justice but they do look fantastic Main advantage for me over others offering wrapping were firstly it's real carbon fibre not a vinyl so shouldn't peel off in hot weather etc and you can keep the trim line and even choose the colour - was offered estoril blue but preferred gloss black

Not sure if the pics do justice to the depth of the gloss and the almost holographic look

You can £479. Includes the cost of the base parts so you don't have to send off or supply bits and includes shipping. That's for all 7 parts - the main dash trim, air vent, I drive console and 4 door handles.

Nice price, cheper and nicer than the MP interior trim, and massively cheaper than the M3/4 CF trim!

Did think of that but heard of a few people who had the wrap come off in the heat and didn't think it would have the same depth. Was also concerned the contours of the hex trim would show through.

That's what I liked about his re trimming only does the covering as per OEM as opposed to others who covered the entire piece - looked a bit heavy without the trim. Hardly any noticeable increase in thickness either so should still fit flush Wanted that m3 look Not my own trim- believe it's a salvaged set - which is in excellent condition. From YouTube I believe a base layer is put down onto which the cf is attached. Then several coats of clear gloss with polishing in between. Easier said then done however

Now that is seriously tempting! My door light bar trim is pearl chrome, does he have to use black trims or do you know if he'd be able to do it to pearl chrome ones?
Edit: Nevermind, clearly I didn't read the first post properly! They look awesome! How did you find this guy? |

I opted for black trim but that's my inner goth cioming out. Obviously it depends on what he's got or can get hold of as uses recycled parts but the options there. Found him/ his company on e bay he had a set for a 4 on auction. Emailed him got a few details and did a bit of research online as didn't want to hand over a wad of cash ( albeit it via PayPal)

Did you look into hydrographic dipping?? One side of my business does this and you get that an effect very close to that, or just about any effect you want! Again much better than wrapping due to the points you raised above about peeling etc.
