Crazy flooding on the M74

I know that much of the U.K. is affecting enormously with the unprecedented flood waters, but I found this video just about as incredible as that collapsed bridge... Motorway floods almost over the top of a car!

I do wonder what made them drive into it in the first place? Or perhaps they had broken down on the hard shoulder before the flooding...

The video was from a truck passing these two cars which are in the hard shoulder of a motorway believe it or not!
