Ok so long story short I removed my intake manifold yesterday to do some cleaning due to an oil issue. Obviously a lot of plugs had to be removed and I tried my best to stay organized and right down all the plugs so I could put them back in the proper place and or not miss any.

So today I start the car and all of a sudden I have a Service Engine Soon light and by random luck I look behind my drivers side wheel and I could actually see a plug that isn't attached to anything.

Car runs fine with no stutters or issues with engine idling but I do have an SES light now. Ive attached a video and picture of the plug. (I apologize if it is a terrible video and picture but it is in a tight spot.)

Car is a 2007 328i

Alright so update: found where the plug went. Although I still have the SES light. Now my question is, if I caused a service engine soon light by unplugging something. Should plugging it back in shut off the light? Or do I now have to get it cleared?

Should clear on its own. Give it a few days.

So, where did it go?

At the end of the manifold closer to the firewall it was a three pronged clip that j missed. It fell down and was basically hanging under the car. I took off the cabin filter again and I saw it and grabbed it and ended up seeing the place to put it. Just hoping now it clears on its own

Great thanks! I've been running the car around town and it drives fine so perhaps you're right.
