Style 87 Wheels
Does anyone know if a set of 20 inch staggered style 87 wheels from the X5 4.6is will fit in new X1? I love the wheels and am starting to fall for the X1 M sport.

The offset on the oem wheels is between 47-52. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/part...-X1_20iX&mg=36 |

BMW needs to publicize this a little more, as I'm sure many people will make purchases of after market wheels based on the strong perception the PCD of the X1 wheels is the same as for (most) other BMWs, i.e., 5x120.
On the other hand, 5x112 is a much more common pattern, and means many wheels made for, among others, VW and Audi may fit.

I even emailed the factory with the wheel and offset questions and they never replied. Like it is said trade secret lol. It wasn't until about mid-November that the wheel shop was able to get the specs. This was really frustrating considering my X1 had summer tires and I was picking the car up in winter.

The new X1 can run 17"-20" wheels, and prob larger with a few mods or custom tires, but 17-20 can fit with the proper tire size. Optimal width would be from 7"-8.5" wide. Offset can be anywhere from ET35-50 dependent on the width. If you'd like for us to check fitment on a specific wheel, please pm us.

Don't staggered wheels not really make sense on a front biased car (like the X1) anyway?

No sense at all, unless you reverse the stagger, as in the Audi RS 3
