Ordering M4 early 2016
Hi All,
I'm planning to place an order very soon after 31st Jan '16 so will be starting negotiations during January. Thought it might be a good idea to start a thread for anybody in the UK planning to order/purchase during the first quarter of 2016 so we can share our ideas and experiences from ordering through to delivery and hopefully help each other out and have some fun along the way. Thanks, CH. |

All being well I will be ordering soon too. Just driving myself insane with the usual colour dilemma at the moment.

Hi Washy,
I get your dilemma but I'm completely set on my choice of colour this time. Silverstone with silverstone full leather interior and black wheels. What colours are on your shortlist? CH. |

Choose an individual colour, and stand out in the crowd... Having said that everyone thinks my car looks white... Until it is next to a white car

Washy - I thought about an individual colour but the ones on BMW's website don't do it for me. The frozen colours do though but I imagine keeping them clean will be a right pain and if repainting was ever needed it could cost a fortune.
Axelf - Suzuka grey is an Audi colour, right? Are we able to specify any colour we like? If so, what is the cost of this? CH. |

As nice ans the Frozen white was I wondered how much looking after it takes. My choices for individual have all been done so I guess they are not that individual any more

So it's between YMB, white or MG. Which of the whites is it? If you mean the pearlescent white then that would be my choice of the three colours you mention. MG is a close second. YMB is my least favourite of the available colours on the M4. I'm pretty conservative though and if I was in my early twenties it would then be my number one choice.
I think white with carbon roof and black wheels looks extremely good. CH. |

It would be the mineral white for me and I think that may well be what I order in the end as it does look good with the carbon bits on it.

Now the colour is sorted, what options are you going for and when are you looking to place an order? I'd like mine for beginning of May. With 12 week build time I will need to order at the end of Jan.
What region of UK are you based in? |

Firstly, I'm not sure whether to go convertible or coupe but probably convertible. Options for me would be DCT, full leather, HUD, black wheels, convertible comfort pack, HK, model deletion, sliding armrest, adaptive headlights and speed limit display. Wouldn't mind adding comfort access and surround view. Also, through loading system might have to be added on too.
That doesn't leave many boxes unticked but I can back track from there depending on how much money I have left after paying the tax man in Jan. CH. |

Don't buy white, doesn't matter what colour of white it is. It will still look white !!!
Look around and see every second car on the road is white. Don't be a sheep stand out from the crowd by something individual,or YMB.

I liked Mineral White and Tanzanite Blue. Decided against MW simply because wife's M235i Vert is MW and so wanted something different. Was really keen on TB but was put off by state of the two TB cars I saw. They show every swirl mark and scratch. Not that's fine if you are anal about cleaning but I'm afraid I'm not - I don't detail my car but those marks would p*ss me off. So for me TB was out (though I can understand why people love it).
Off cuff, asked dealer about San Merino Blue and found out it wasn't a full individual colour (i.e. a gezilllion pounds) but an in between colour and so £1,500. So SMB it will be with full silverstone interior (I wanted leather dash). Still waiting after a month to get a confirmation of production slot.
