Plus Net - anyone made the move from BT?
With BT infinity at the moment, contract up and I need to leave the thieving, cheating turds.
Any one have good things to say about Plus Net?

Plus Net is BT - it's owned by BT. The deals are better and customer relations are too.

Plus net have given me a great deal on unlimited fibre and thrown for free after negotiating, bt sports.
Get about 35Mbps download and 18Mbps upload speed. They installed a fibre line free too. Only nag is the wait if you want to speak to customer support. But it's been stable actually. Good value and service. |

If you are with BT Internet and cancelling BT as a whole, just ensure that you cancel all the spinoff packages at the same time i.e. BT Sport, telephone etc as they will try to screw you over on this. Be absolutely clear with them, for instance, say you get BT Sport free as part of an internet package and cancel internet, they will then back charge £15 a month for the Sport unless you tell them to cancel it.

I've heard good things about plusnet. I'm switching to Hyperoptic as they recently instabbed fibre into our block of flats. There were 2 choices...100mb or 1gb!! I went 100mb; as glorious as 1gb sounds, don't think I'd need it for me and and the missus.

We are on virgin.
It's about 152mb, however due a big increase early next year. I like the speed as I do online gaming. Downloads for everything are a breeze. Previous to Virgin I was BT, with speeds of 0.5 mb to 20mb ish |

Seems like plus net then, thanks all. We don't have virgin, but 60mb should do us for now.

I have 3 accounts with Plusnet, Business, Home and holiday palace.
Last month I had a customer ring and tell me that they couldn't access my business website. Funny I thought but when I tried it yep wasn't there!! Went into work next day to find no e-mails!! WTF is going on? Rung Plusnet who claimed that I had never had a website with them!!! No only for 5 years that's all. Took 16 days to get my BUSINESS e-mail back up and running and luckily had backups of my complete website so that is now sorted although the search engines now have me way down. Asked about being compensated and basically got laughed at! NOT A HAPPY BUNNY. They didn't seem to give a toss to be honest, I must have rung a dozen times each time on the phone for 20 mins to get some apologetic but useless tw@t on the other end. Up to this I haven't had any problems but this has really tainted Plusnet in my eyes. Dave.
