WTB : HVAC Blower Motor E90 2006

Hi,
As title says, id like to get a HVAC blower motor for E90 2006 (330)...

Mine squeaks and drives me nuts. Wd40 solves the problem for couple weeks and then problem returns.

Thanks!

If you can get it lubricated with some real grease (not wd40) it may help for a bit longer than just few weeks.

Ideally you should take it out and lubricate properly so you don't have grease smell coming through your vents.

Just a suggestion before you buy new.

Cheers

These things aren't really serviceable, they're pretty closed. I caved and bought a new one at the dealer years ago.

You need to get something thicker than WD-40 in there. Take the blower out, take the motor/fan out of the housing and lube up both of the bushings with whatever engine or gear oil you have a few drops of. Make sure it gets plenty of time to absorb.

It smelled like gear oil in my car for a week afterwards, but the squeak has been gone for over a year.

Was really dreading having to take it out. Such an awkward position

What lube did you use? If I do it, I want to make sure I dont have to do it again weeks later.

Thanks!

I'm not sure exactly what I used. it could have been some Amsoil 140-EP90 leftover from a Jeep liberty rear diff 11 years ago, or the Redline I used in my rear diff last year.

With the right Torx bit you can remove the motor from the assembly to get access to the other bearing you can't see.
