M2 & M235 side by side
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com Originally I wasn't a fan of LBB after seeing in person on the X5M, but after seeing it on the M2 it fits the car perfectly. It's the color I would choose. Last edited by LDSM; 11-29-2015 at 11:12 AM.. |

You can now really appreciate how much larger the front airvent is on the M2 than the m235i.
The biggest issue I have with the m235i is that the back is just so boring IMO, I would even go as far as saying it's just that diffuser that looks like it was an afterthought. The M2 looks like they put more thought into the backend now ... not as sexy as the 1M rear but much better than the normal 2er. I really love this car! |

Agreed on the rear of the m235, it's the view I dislike the most, and after seeing the M2 they did a great job of correcting that. |

Man, in the third photo the M235i's ass looks just so plain and boring. The M2 looks actually way better and with the M2 Performance spoiler it'll be even better.

Wow! The M2 looks wider compared to the M235i.
My only comments will be to have those chromed kidney grilles changed to black ones! P.S.: Did you get a chance to look at the dash? Is it leather stitched? |

Seeing the side profiles next to each other just killed it for me. They look the same. The M2 looks barely wider than the 235. :
The front and rear are a big step up however. The front oil/water cooler intakes do look smaller on M2 to me.

It's just the camera. The M2 is actually much wider and I am betting in person it is vey noticeable.

You have to see the M2 in person, it looks very aggressive, the pics don't do it justice

The fender/quarter panel flares on the M are definitely real! How exaggerated was the difference in person?
Also, as per the photo above, side view should also be a striking difference with the black M wheels and the M2 badging/side vent piece. Thanks for sharing!

Agree with you that the diffuser on the M2 helps on the lower end ... The bumper ugh... And to me the taillights are just misplaced on all 2 series and the decklid cutting into them is just .. Ick |

I know its the picture and angle. But what I'm saying is that there doesn't seem to be much of a significant difference to me. Im still a fan of the car and will hopefully own the CSL. But just trying to reinforce my claim in the earlier post.

I love the m235 especially because it comes with X drive. The m2 looks good ONLY if you get it in LBB otherwise it'll just look like the regular 2.
I'm not happy about no carbon fiber roof, regular mirrors , 1 interior color as I always opt for red and most importantly , it has the same N55 motor not a detuned S motor. It's basically not any faster than my jb4'd car.. It just looks better but again, only in LBB. I think I'd rather just go for the m4 unless I test drive it and it has the m4 feel. |
