LOGIC 7 RADIO DIED?!?! Not again...
Please help me, my work commute is an hour and I have no sound from my speakers. Radio comes on, no sound, no gongs, nothing from the speakers. Here's what I've done:
-Checked the Amp, I think it's good. -Replaced the Amp anyway... it's not the amp. -Checked fuses in glove box, none are blown -Restarted the car 1000 times -Disconnected the battery for an hour -Took off seat belt and opened door while driving to get the Gong to sound, no Gong -And no, the Radio is not muted. What am I missing here? If one speaker comes unplugged, does that shut off all of them? Also, I know the new amp works b/c it works in my other 335, but it doesn't heat up at all. I mean usually the amp will be warm with the fans blowing after an hour drive. Any help is appreciated!!!!!!!! |

Anything in the Most Loop can stop the sound.
Anything in the Most Loop can stop the sound.
Which means besides the radio a satellite module or the bluetooth telephone usb module. Also if the IBS system thinks it has a low battery it can turn stuff off. electical e90 pdf http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...,d.cGU&cad=rja http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...85464276,d.cGU http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...85464276,d.cGU Also if you have changed the radio or idrive the new one has to be programmed to output the Logic 7 most bus signal if it did not come from a car that had Logic 7. Get a Most jumper and try bypassing the Mulf module and or SDARS module or CDC if you have one. http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...2&d=1260829447 Last edited by ctuna; 11-20-2015 at 12:37 PM.. |

Same happened to me a couple months ago, turns out the Satellite Radio module shat the bed. Looped it out since I never used it (didn't even know I had it) and everything returned to normal.

If you disconnect the fiber optic cables going to the amp do you see light coming from the cable? Do you have a multimeter to check for power going to the amp.

Both the Sirius tuner and TCU/MULF are in the trunk under the center floor covering.

So i opened up the trunk to take a look at the TCU unit and the other hing beside it. Both of the fiber optic cables going into each one of them have the red light coming out of them when i unplug them.

You say your satellite radio module crapped out and you looped it out. How could you tell it was bad and how did you loop it out? Did your speakers not work? |

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...41#post6351941 You could also do the same thing by reorganizing the cables in the MOST distribution block that is behind the rear seat(drivers side bolster if you have folding seats). Page 4 on this diy shows the distribution block. The order the cables are in isn't important as long as the loop is complete. Only do this if you understand what you are doing. http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...6&d=1394739851 |
