Speed volume setting useless?

Does anyone else find this setting (under Tone settings) to have absolutely no effect whatsoever? Supposedly, its supposed to adjust the music volume based on your speed. No matter if I set it to min or max I never hear any difference in volume. I had this feature in my Lexus and thought was great.

Mine seems to work well - find myself turning down the volume from time to time - maybe need to relook at the settings.

I think if you don't realize the change in volume its doing exactly what its supposed to do. The idea is that the volume should come across as being "constant" even though its being adjusted based on your speed.

hmmm...can you please let me know what setting you have it at? I have tried setting at min, middle, and max.

I have a problem with this since I received a phone call during the ride, I'd parked my car and continued the call but decreased the volume of the speaker. Since that the automute of the NAV pro during announces is working no longer. I got no idea what causes this and didnt find any options to reactivate this...any ideas?

Not exactly sure what you're asking, but if you want to unmute the NAV voice commands make sure that the speaker tab on NAV display DOES NOT have a line through it (the red line is pointing to the speaker icon). If you're trying to change the volume of the NAV commands, press the voice command button on your steering wheel and when the car says "Please say a command" just turn up the volume, hope this helps.

Mine works fine, my car noticeably increases the volume of the music when I start to accelerate to merge onto a highway.

When I first got my car I definitely noticed the volume changing when I'd speed up quickly to get on a highway. Now I'm used to it so don't notice it anymore.

Yes over many different BMWs see signature, and with HK audio or standard, I'm not sure there is a difference?

I definitely notice it. Sometimes I do have to turn the volume down a bit once I get up to highway speed. Not sure what setting it's on, but pretty sure it's on default.

Thanks man. I dont know why this is so hard to implement. What would be trick would be to also take into account if the windows are rolled down too.

I have found that it does work while playing music from the USB, but doesn't do anything when listening to the radio. I haven't tried other media delivery methods.

No, I was not asking about the announce muting in general.
My new problem is, that previous on enabled navigation every time when the radios playing and the nav on, and there comes an announcement, then the volume of the radio or CD drops automatically to near zero until the voice is over and then return to origin applied settings. Same with the PDC beepers, the volume itself is ok, but the volume of the music stays the same and would be not lowered anymore.
Meanwhile I found out how to increase the volume of the nav and PDC speakers and tones but thats not the solution...any more ideas?

You might try completely resetting the tone settings, according to the manual:

Resetting the tone settings
1. "CD/Multimedia", "Radio" or "Settings"
2. "Tone"
3. "Reset"

Not Useless At All

My Speed Volume works great! If I put it on the maximum speed volume, it really turns up when I speed up! I need to keep it around the middle, but it definitely works!

Mine Doesn't Work Either

I found this feature very useful on my previous 135 conv -- particularly when the wife was in the car with her "sensitive" ears.

However, it never worked on my '16 GC. Just took the car in for annual oil service, and they couldn't figure it out. Said they would have to reprogram but I didn't have time to wait. They couldn't find any bulletin on the issue either.
