Precision Raceworks inlets arrived today

I recently ordered a set of Pure Stage 2 turbos, that started the search for an inlet kit. I read through various inlet threads on a few different forums and started leaning towards the PR inlets. This past weekend I reached out to Robert, he answered some of my questions and I ordered a set.

The inlets arrived today, I thought I would take some pics and share my initial thoughts on the kit.

Everything was neatly packaged, screws in bags, brackets wrapped up.

All the parts laid out.

Close up of the brackets.

Overall I'm very impressed with the quality of the parts and the packaging. I'm hoping to update this thread with feedback and pics of the install, as well as some numbers eventually.

Any updates?
Why did you go with these over the others?

My turbos arrive Monday, then I'm just waiting on the install kit.

I went with these for a few reasons.

- I was leaning towards shorter inlets, non oem routing
- The brackets looked good
- 2"
- Dynos from Pure with them installed

This is the first I've heard of this. BlackBB6 what is the result of either or? Is one lounder than the other?

No insert gives it less of a squeal/high pitch than the stock insert.
Usng the re-circulation insert and some short hose I'm expecting it would be much more quiet.

The pure turbos and install kit came in Monday, I'm trying to get them installed this weekend.

I dropped my car off at Sammy's on Wednesday and it should be done tonight or tomorrow.

Once I get it back I will switch from a modified SPX E60 MHD flash to the latest BMS pump flash and get 93 in the tank. I'm going to mess with FUD= 95 and raising the DB values in the JB4. After the logs look good I'll hit the dyno and get some 93 numbers for you guys.

If things look good on pump I'll switch to the BMS E85 Hybrid flash. I'm only on a fuel-it stage 2 for now (PI and Stage 3 by spring), I'm going to slowly raise the boost on an E50 mix and see how the pumps do.

I got my car back before Christmas, it sounds like a jet and pulls like a train. These Pure stage 2's are amazing and I haven't even started pushing them. Pardon the dirty engine bay, it will get cleaned soon.

I'm changing the order of tuning around, I've been making adjustments to get the most out of the stage 2 fuel-it and e50. 93 only will come after. Motiv PI kit is on the way for future E85 tuning. I've been daily driving an E85 mix for 3 years now, so 93 only will have to take a back seat for now.

- My installer gave me the option of buying some extra hoses and fittings and running the coolant return line into a closer location. This is cleaner than running the hose back to the original location, but it is not necessary.
- The installation notes mention this but I wanted to highlight it, make sure you check the clearance the expansion tank cap before shutting your hood.

I asked my installer to just leave the vacuum canisters somewhere easy for him, I plan on relocating them but I'm going to wait until the PI kit is installed.

My OCC was a little late coming in so I installed that myself, I left the PTC heater out, it was pretty easy.

The PR inlets have been worth every penny, I can't say a bad thing about them. The same goes for the Pure stage 2 turbos, anxious to get some dynos for you guys.

You can buy them for me if it bothers you.

Seriously though, I will have the cowl back on soon, I have the brass inserts and bolts in the filter now and they hold it well.

If you look on the very last picture, near the alternator, on the charge pipe you can see where it was cut off.
