Questions about my tires and moving to Florida
Hi guys. I have a 2015 X4 M-sport with the 20" wheels and have the P Zeroes. I also have 18 inch winter set. My question is I am moving to Florida and driving the car in the first week in December. So far it has been a pretty mild season. Do you guys think it would be ok to drive from CT to Virginia on the p zeroes in the first week of December? I want to try to sell the winter wheels and tires up here because I think it would be hard to sell them in Florida. Thanks for your replies.

PZERO are summer tires?
if they are summer tires, they are not safe to drive in cold weather from what i have read on the forums. what part of florida are you moving to? no snow out there! best of luck! |

Basically enhanced grip from summer tires start to lose effectiveness below about 60F and if it rains somewhere below that but above freezing they tend to get dicey. If Ice or Snow, no, don't even try to drive... your AWD won't save you (tried that on my Audi. Car was slipping downhill while in Park)
If you're moving then I guess plan your travel plans according to the weather. I would think it will be terribly annoying to drive down your winter tires and bring them back up to your current state later. |
