Has anyone successfully installed a fairing onto the OEM roof bars?

Not looking forward to a winter of wind whistle / decreased highway mileage from my snowboard racks. I've noticed that BMW does not offer a fairing option for the OEM racks.

Has anyone has successfully installed a fairing? If so, what brand and length did you go with?

Doing some research I learned that Thule possibly makes the load bars for BMW. With that said, I was wondering if the basic Thule fairing kit would work with our OEM load bars. If not, has anyone had any luck with another brand? I've turned up some links on alternate forums where guys with earlier 3 series mention that the Thule fairing doesn't perfectly clip into the groove on the cross bar. They've had to use self tapping screws to permanently mount their fairings to their front OEM load bar so that it doesn't fall off or get stolen. Although I'm open to this, I was hoping there's a better alternative.

Also, I have absolutely no plans to use the sunroof in the winter, but would a fairing interfere with the sunroof operation?
