Did my coolant reservoir bust or what?
Hey guys. I was driving about a week ago and on my way back home my coolant light came on, so got home let it cool down and saw my coolant level was almost gone and there was a white substance that sprayed all over my engine. I refilled the coolant, found a leak from a tube/hose that ran from the top of the resevoir and replaced it and then cleaned the engine. A week later I went to open my hood to clean the air filter and the white stuff was again sprayed all over my engine and the coolant was low but my light never came up in the car. Where could it be coming from? Should I just removed the radiator and things and look or take it to a shop or does anyone know what it could be? Here are some pictures.

+1 that happened to me a few months ago, the bleed screw had a small crack that was spraying everywhere, and eventually exploded lol and would spew out coolant everywhere. got the replacement parts from advanced autoparts, 2 screws for like 8$

Happened to me as well. It can happen if there is too much coolant in there as well as if there is air in the system. Might be your case.

Running on top of the radiator, under the air intake is a rigid plastic tube that goes from the upper radiator hose to the coolant tank. Mine disintegrated and caused the problem you have. Worth checking.

I had a little spray but I think that was when I filled it up after installing an oil cooler. Only a few specs, haven't checked recently so I'm gonna have to check and make sure.

This is generally a thermostat issue, less commonly a water pump.
Replace the tank, hoses and thermostat...... If you don't they will fail shortly after |

Thanks for all the responses guys! Im gonna try and clean the engine really well and then add coolant and let the car run and maybe see where it might be coming from! If I cant, then I will start with the hoses and thermostat and then move on from there!
