Hood insulator pad? Parts person?
So, I recently had a 2015 328i loaner and I swear it was not as noisy as my 2013. I looked under the hood at it "seemed" to be a thicker pad.
I know I can stop by the dealer and do a comparison on my own but thought maybe somebody on this board might already know the answer and save me a trip. Did BMW go to a thicker pad in 2015 as the result of "some" minor dissatisfaction by "some" customers relative to engine noise? Just asking and thanks in advance. |

If it's much thicker then buy a new one to replace it.

It's the active sound in the 2015 that makes the car sound better.
