e91 with m3 coversion adaptive headlight problem
Hi everyone...i did a conversion on an e91 m sport lci to a full m3 bodystyle...i am looking for help in how to code the adaptive headlights in,
my e91 came from the factory with xenons with adaptive and high beam assist. the donor headlights for the conversion came from an m3 saloon which are also adaptive xenon but not sure if they are high beam assist..how would i tell?. the first time i plugged the donor lights in the beam was pointing where it should straight on,,but when i tried the adaptive lights a fault came on my dash..so i pressumed the headlights needed coding to my car, so i got the autologic and tried to reset the headlight ecu and code. this caused my headlights to point outwords and very high..like a default position.. i then did a test run on the headlights in all directions and i found that if i command my light to go up and right it would go down and left.both lights do this. so on both lights each command went the wrong way.. i have since been to my friends bmw specialist quarry motors and they did the same as me..same problem..so i swopped both adaptive ecu's of my oem lights to the m3 lights...still same problem. i am not getting any error codes with the auto logic..only a fault code on my dash showing (adaptive)..does any one know if i need to swop or bridge wires on my headlight plugs or any suggestions would be very greatfull as im at a dead end now.. i have even tried to swop headlight looms but they are different at all the motors. the m3 headlight plug had 1 wire less but this looks like a wire for and led indicator on the e91 light. |
