Upgraded I-level, car behaves differently

Hi guys,

I Own a 2012 335i (sport)AT with an Akrapovic installed, no tune. I recently brought the car to the dealer because of wind noise and the voice command that didn't work a couple of times.

Windnoise is gone now, awesome. And for the voice command they upgraded the software (just as I thought) in the hope that would help.

The thing I notice the most...the gear change and the sound.

Before the upgrade the car was pretty vigorous on the gear changes in Sport+.
The Akrapovic "banged" while uphifting under hard acceleration.
It also burbled, but only in the first and second gear (when lifting off the accelerator).

After the upgrade the shifting is much smoother, which is nice. But I guess because of that, no more bangs
The upside though, burbles everywhere, in every gear.

Anyone here some insight in why this has changed?

They removed the aluminum strip (and I guess the underlying rubber) and placed a brand new rubber.

I can make some detailed photos if requested.

Photos would be nice.

I have the Akrapovic on a 2012 at f30 too. Haven't noticed a thing.
(But might be due to the mppk installed somewhere... Never noticed that either)!

Likely the change is due to the transmission adaptations being reset. As you drive more (aggressively) your car will "learn" your driving habits and adjust accordingly.
